This place has great buzz---very lively and unique!! My husband and I stopped in for a glass of wine--enjoyed ourselves so much, we stayed for 3 hours! Fantastic food, great wine selection, very attentive waitstaff. We highly recommend this place for anyone who loves to have a good time and is a foodee!! Totally worth a wait for a table--you won't be dissapointed in the food or the service. Whether you're a local or tourist--the Butcher Shop is a must! Great place to impress a date. Urban casual attire. Prices are reasonable for the quality. As an added bonus--The manager greeted everyone in a friendly manner like old friends--very impressive!!
My wife and I love this place. It's small and intimate and we often end up going only for drinks at the social butcher block bar and wind up staying for dinner. They have a great wine selection at a price that won't break the bank and I've never once been unsatisfied with my meal. You can just share some apps or do the standard app/entree. Either way, you won't be disappointed. It'd be hard to get a large party in there. I wouldn't go with many more than 4, but outside of that, you can't go wrong with The Butcher Shop.
For the quaint at heart...: Cozy quaint americana bistro that gets its namesake from the fact that it doubles as an upscale butcher shop - complete with a large butcher block table. Good assortment of food and wine to choose from.
