great food and great staff , both owners and all the managers are really nice. the food is unique, fresh and always good. great place to eat and both places are byob.
This place is great... this is NOT tex-mex at all ... it's more So-California Mexican/south pacific. White rice, black beans, fish, fusion food, they even have thai chili garlic paste at the tables! My favorite is the Bomba (spelling) Shack Salad... it's coconut/sesame battered tilapia strips on a mixed green salad, with shredded carrots, sides of GOOD seaweed salad, pickled ginger, 2 warm folded tortillas, and a wasabi ginger dressing.... SO GOOD (see this isn't tex-mex lol). This the perfect food for a long day in the sun. With a nice beer mmmm.... Everything is good though.... the only reason they get 4 stars and not 5 is i went there one day, and the food was horrible! stale tortillas and grease! BUT besides that day, I've always loved going to this cozy place.
It's BYOB, they have outdoor seating if you'd like to dine on the main street sidewalk. Inside there is a surf and tiki theme EVERYWHERE! The flamboyant "tack" is what makes this place so great. Tight surf videos, nice service, mixed crowd, BYOB, good prices, did i mention the cookies? They're awesome too!
Defiantly the best fast Mexican place around... Surf Taco BOOOOO, 10th Ave. Burrito still in my heart, but this place defiantly makes the top!
It gets crowded.... the best time to go (actually) is around 3-4pm in the summer... everyone is at the beach, food is fresh, nice air conditioning or outside seating to enjoy the summer. You're set.
Great little place: This is what all beach area resturants should be like. Younger crowd, Good tex-mex.
