My Dad just passed away in CareOne. He was there for 2 months, there were 3 nurses, 1 aide, and the speech therapist that were wonderful. However the care that they called "COMFORT CARE' was a joke. We never met the Dr., ot had any counseling whatsoever. The social worker met with us only once in 2 months time. Aides were hiding in my Dad's room watching TV, because he was unable to walk, talk or move so no one would know the difference unless she was caught. We did complain several times and kept on them alot but still they were herendous. My Dad had a very rare brain disease that is a one in a million chance of having. One day I was sitting alone in my Dad's room quietly, I hear someone coming down the hall yelling to an aide is that Neil person still here, she said it again by this time she was in front of my Dad's door. She saw me walked down to the aide and then left. She was the activity coordinator for the facility, she had no business with my Dad as he was bedridden, and semi conscious. She was just a nosey so and so wanted to see what the person looked like with the rare brain disease. I was livid, went down immediately and complained. They are the worst facility around will never go there again with any family member. I am also writng letters to corporate and the state of NJ. I am sorry for anyone who is in that facility alone without family...
