User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsMax's Tavern @ Basketball Hall of Fame you have a fruit fly problem. My entree was brought to the table with fruit flies on it. When I cut into my plate with my fork flies jumped off it! I thought "is that what I think it is?" When my husband's take out bag was brought to the table fruit flies again. All you need to do is treat your floor drains with bleach and then water and your problem should be solved. Until then I wouldn't serve any meals because you're gonna loose business. Otherwise, I ordered my tuna medium and got it rare. Nice atmosphere, good music, good service, pricey menu. I came home hungry.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsExcellent food. I went to Max's Tavern last night and it was my third time I've been to a Max Restaurant. I've only been to the Max in Hartford. I got an excellent pesto and shrimp meal, the appetizers were excellent, and great atmosphere. Everyone from work highly recommends Max's. Although, it is definitely pricy but well worth it.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOur food had small portions, a lot of fat on the filet minon. Over priced, service was average. I wrote a letter to the owner, never to get a reply back. I will never go back, nor will the four people I went with!
