Rancho Mexican Restaurant

Rancho is a family favorite. I can not believe that the owner was not nice since Antonio has always been extremlly nice to us. We have been going to this restuarant since they oppened and the food is fantastic and the prices are very good. Try the enchiladas "LOCA's" they are the best, my wife said they are to spicy for her. Also try the chicken soup that is my wife favorite "comfort food".

Visited two times. Food is decent staff is friendly EXCEPT the owner. On the second trip our family gathered ahead of a big Boy Scout event for one of my sons. A soft ice cream machine is provided near the front for the kids, out of sight of most tables. My son went to get some ice cream and when he came back to the table complained of the 'mean' lady at the front. He had accidentally spilled his ice cream and the owner forced him to cleam it up himself without the help of any of the at least 8 bus and table staff in the restaurant, many standing around as the restaurant was not half full. When I asked her why he was made to do it himself without assistance she simply said she offered him paper towels. I told her that part of the price we pay is to have wait staff help us when there is a spill; they did it no less than three times during our visit as other tables had children who spilled drinks, etc. She was indifferent and when I asked her if i spilled the ice cream i was holding if I would have to clean it up by myself she said 'yes.' I told her I would not come back again and would advise others to avoid Rancho as well. When we left the owner said in a very patronizing manner "Good bye, hope to not see you again." One of the men at the counter (4 of them were standing around doing nothing) chimed in 'We don't need your business.' I told them if customers had to bus their own tables and spills business would likely slow and that if there were more businesses such as theirs there would be less businesses such as theirs. Up to the point where they made my son clean up his accidental spill the experience was decent, the food average, the waiter nice. The response to a customer complaint was incredibly bad and givne the character shown I would never consider patronizing this establishment again.
