Central Avenue House

First I would like to say that my friend and I have been going to Central Avenue House for several years and we would not even consider staying anywhere else. My friend and I just returned home from our home away from home and that is sincerely how we feel about the place. Although we planned on staying for two days, we stayed for five. The .accomodations are exceptional , clean and beautifully decorated. Jen the proprietor is a gracious and remarkable host. She truly makes you feel you are in your own home. I would also like to add that the location is fabulous. The Great Auditorium is within steps of Central Avenue House. Jen bakes her guests homemade granola which is simply heavenly as well as the special French roast coffee she provides. It just doesn't get any better than this. All I can say is - see for yourself.

After 24 years of going to Ocean Grove I found this wonderful Place called the Central Avenue house and Cottage by chance. Both the Central Avenue House and the Cottage are located near the beach ( less than a five minute walk) , Main Avenue , the Boardwalk- and Asbury Park . THe dining and shops on Main Avenue are wonderful and at night- there is plenty to do in either Ocean Grove or Asbury Park or surrounding areas. .

All of this made my decision to stay at the Central Avenue Houise and Cottage a no brainer. as both places were very clean- and the beds- were the most comfortable I have ever slept in at any Inns. The prices on both the cottage and Central Avenue House were amazingly low considering how close I was to the beach. Central Ave House and the Cottage both have these wonderful porches - which are a great way to start the day - or end it.
For myself the good bed and a place to park my bike safely and of course being so close to the beach made this a very good decision.

I got more than my value as each place offered a comfortable bed to rest in a really good atmosphere and enjoy my summer vacation . FIVE STARS!!!,-

I rented the cottage that is advertised on the Central Avenue House website for the whole month of July. I am currently living here and enjoying my stay in Ocean Grove. Let me just state that I have only had a pleasant and professional experience from the time I called to inquire about the cottage until now. Janine, the new manager, also runs the cottage and she has been more than accomodating during my stay here. I run into her in town and she always goes out of her way to say 'hello'. I have been in constant contact with Jennifer, the owner, who is currently stationed in Germany for the US Army. Jennifer left several personalized "Post-it" notes around the house for me to ease my transition. She even left fresh food and drinks for me! Even though we are thousands of miles apart, she is still checking in to make sure everything is to my satisfaction. I couldn't ask for more!

Sometimes poor managers can ruin a good business and it seems like Jennifer has resolved this issue by bringing in Janine. Janine seems to be an ideal manager who understands hospitality and customer service. I would definitely recommend this place to others. I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again.
