If you are in for a little adventure and have an interest in Enchanted Rock State Park, you should consider having dinner or Sunday brunch here. You will. not find better food or a more unusual setting in Texas. The restaurant is located in a building which resembles a blend of Mexican hacienda and medeival baronial estate, and is located just a few hundred yards south of the entrance to Enchanted Rock State Park on SR 965. The entrance to the estate can sneak up on you, and is marked with a couple of lions and a gate loaded with antlers. The road in is winding and narrow, and the topography representative of the Texas Hill Country.
Your hostess, Rebecca Trois, is charming and creative in her culinary approach, and the environment she and her artist husband Charles have created is a real experience. Almost every table has a glass top with some type of collectible theme on display, and you will not see a better view of Enchanted Rock outside the park than that available from the roof of their home, which is on the premises and accessible to guests.
