Anytime I have family or friends come in from out of town I take them to Mimi's Cafe. They get hooked on it the first time. I LOVE the food and the atmosphere! They have a selection of food that no one else offers in the Orlando area...keep it up! YUMM!!
Came upon the place by chance - we are visiting from NY and while driving along 436 looking for a place to eat around 9:00pm, their sign caught our attention so we stopped. Beautiful place, friendly, pleasant, efficient waitress. Wonderful banana nut and spice bread before dinner was so moist & delicious. Plus, the waitress brought another basket when I mentioned how good it is. The sweet and sour coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious, salads fresh with a nice mix of greens, blue cheese dressing tasted homemade and was very good. My daughter's BBQ salmon was highly praised. WIsh we had a Mimi's Cafe in my neighborh :)
This is by far one of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile that made me think "I wanna go back there." The water was delicious (which sounds weird but is usually a good gauge of the quality of the restaurant). A real live fresh salad! I didn't even know they made those anymore! Most other retaurants salads have a soggy, squishy texture that tastes totally old, like it has been sitting back there pre-made awaiting us for who knows how long. Don't get me started with the sourdough and the carrot raisin nut bread. It is a unique delicious treat that they give absolutely for free! The service was great and the manager personally visited us because it was my first time there. I absolutely recommend it. It's a family friendly place to eat with pretty decent prices. Wish they had more locations in Orlando :(
