Middle of the road food, uncomfortable atmosphere; would have been nice but the staff removed every table around us to create a dance floor WHILE WE ATE... leaving us in the middle of an empty room. Happy anniversary to us. Until they started blasting booty music, there was some nice deep house playing at a comfortable level. Anyway, the black cod was delicious, dragon roll ok; they cut the Hamachi sashimi so thin it was barely enjoyable. We waited over 30 min for our Foie Gras (probably because they were THAWING it out) which was mediocre. But I must say our server, Katie, was excellent.
$130 dinner for two... and we ended up getting burgers a little later because we were still hungry.
I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. My 9 oz fillet was cooked perfectly to my liking and was very tender. It was accompanied with what I believe to be a raspberry sauce which at first sounds horrible but, I think anyone who tries it will be pleasantly surprised how the tastes blend beautifully. The dancing eel sushi was delicious. I also loved the cheesecake dessert which I will definitely recommend; the ganache is to die for. :) I didn't really get the "middle east" taste which was supposed to be fused with Japanese flavors which is how the restaurant defines themselves on their website. However, I didn't miss it because, the food was great regardless.
LOVE THE ATmosphere! Totally classy people and restaurant!
