great place for sushi lover out there. now they have new location at second avenue between 52nd and 53rd st. nice , romantic restaurant with second floor seating too, where i guess maybe can sit up to 150 person. the sake bar serve all kind of liquor and beverages.i am very impress of the sushi head chef where he can really bring some delight to your foods and he know how to cheer everyone up. perhap this is thier secret of success and become so welknown. well, about the sashimi and rolls mmmm...excellent.. no where can compare with affordable price too. i had the toro sashimi, uni sushi ,and being introduced to try kanpachi (amberjack) wow super tasty and served with fresh wasabi that i never had elsewhere. my friends are all happy with my recomendation to tenzan at this location. service was good and one last things i want to share with you..you will find something different in this tenzan as their have the power to bright you up.
We have a new favorite!: After visiting the Museum with my family, we wanted to get a bite to eat. We had passed this restaurant on the way and we wanted to check it out since they had great prices for lunch. I'm a big fan of Tonkatsu and my husband and daughter (11) like teriyaki, so you can imagine our surprise when we received out order and saw how much food we got. I'm used to one pork cutlet, they gave 2! My husband had the chicken teriyaki and there were 3 (yes, THREE) cutlets on his plate. Our daughter had the beef teriyaki and it was a nice sized piece of steak. Nice big bowls of rice. The lunch comes with choice of miso soup or salad (both excellent). For the amount of food we got for the price, we couldn't believe it. Next time, husband is trying the sushi. We're always on the lookout for great Japanese, and this is it! Nice decor, booths upstairs with seating for 2 by the windows.
