NOT so good and food was worse than that which I had in college.
Simply put, Lucio's will not be given the benefit of the doubt and a second chance...it was that bad.
"Superb" What more can we say. The person who answered the phone was helpful and had great passion in taking our booking and as always helpful. The building is of historical interest . . . but thank God this interior looks and behaves like the wonderful Italian Restaurant it is. Lucio's Linguine with clams, it is so good, as are all the other dishes. We and our guests have never been let down. And the bread . . . Stay away from the bread, it is, if you have a bread tooth, like I do, you canât keep your hands or mouth away from it. Try the Veal . . . Oh my, excellent. The whole kit and caboodle at Lucio's is so appealing. The citrus vinaigrette righteous. We eat the whole world over, but it is always a delight to return to Virginia and a drop in to Lucio's Restaurant. By the way, the service, speedy, and always flawless It's always a plus to partake of their gastronomical delights. Thank you, Baron & Baroness DeVere-Austin of Delvin.
After so many "superb" review, I decided to check it out this afternoon. First of all, the person who answered the phone was lacking of passion~ "good" impression to start with. Once we got there, I noticed the interior was not that Historical except the old windows. I was also expecting some old paintings on the wall but almost nothing on the wall.
I have to say, I LOVE the Linguine w/clams, it was neat and taste so fresh and insane. I also love the bread!! other than that, the Veal special was just fine, and the Crab salad was over priced as $11! it was not appealing, not finely chopped, and the citrus vinaigrette dressing was not even there. A big disaster.
So, another "over rated" restaurant. The price on entree was pretty good as $10~14 each.
Service, speedy, that's all I can say.
