I HAVE BEEN HERE ABOUT 6 TIMES THIS SUMMER I HAVE MIXED FEELING ABOUT THIS PLACE. VERRY SLOW SERVICE WAITRESS SEEM TO LIKE TO SOCIALIZE WITH EACH OTHER. INSTED OF CHECKING THERE TABLES. THE FOOD IS HIT OR MISS. THE PITA CHIPS THAT COME WITH SOME SANDWHIES ARE REALY GOOD. THEY NEED SOME HEALTHY FOOD CHOISE.
I have been here many times (only because it is better than the rest), but I ALWAYS leave feeling like I will never come back. Service is usually pretty bad (slow and or Rude),and the juke box is very expensive and any time you play it, it gets turned down so you can't hear it at all. Long wait for food, and there have been many occasions where people came in with reservations for Holidays or special occasions, only to be turned away, or having to wait over 2 hrs past reserve time! I've seen this many times, very rude service, management. Very skimpy on dressing, and if you order a hamburger, you usually don't get it the way it is stated in the menu.
My husband and I moved from Port Sanilac down to Fort Worth, TX 1 1/2 years ago. The food down here is great, however, the fish is not as good as the fish at the Stone Lodge. The catfish down here is terrible. Perch is hard to find. I wish Jenny and her husband would move down here to Texas and teach these Texans how to cook FISH. We miss you all there. I was back at the Stone Lodge in June, and my friends and I met there for a wonderful meal. Fish of course. When I come back to Michigan for a visit, the Stone Lodge is the one place we will go for a wonderful meal. Thanks for wonderful memories. Kaye Riopelle-Fort Worth, TX
