User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFor someone who appreciates a little bit of the city in this small town, having spent a good portion of my adult life in Pacific Beach, San Diego, The Potter's Wheel takes me to a place that is hard to find around here. The atmosphere is much more relaxed and care-free than anywhere else in town but the fact that it IS a small town, and everyone knows everyone makes it that much better. I walk in and say "just make me something," and it's wonderful every time! I don't get to stick around long when I go as I'm a busy person but I appreciate the live music I occasionally get to listen to and LOVE the people that work there and frequent there. Definitely a rare find in a small Kansas town.

This place is great! The coffee is wonderful, the food a treat and the atmosphere delightful.

There is nothing fancy about the food, but what they name it, and doesn't even sell pop or regular coffee for the simple person.

It's unfortunate that you had such a bad experience at The Potter's Wheel. They have a great menu that does in fact include pop and brewed (regular) coffee. You are right in that they don't cater to SIMPLE people, but to those who appreciate a good cup of coffee with intelligent conversation. What I love the most about the Potter's Wheel is that they do not dumb down their business just to fit in with the status quo in Ottawa. They have set the bar in quality, atmosphere and menu options. I am so glad they are here!
