User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI went to the tavern to eat the other night and sat at the bar. the food was great but i don't know what was wrong with the old grouchy bartender. i eat here very often and she always looks mad at the world. i think her boss needs to let her have a few shots before her shift and maybe then she will be nice. the mixed drinks she has made for me are usually very weak. there is nothing worse than an old grouchy bartender who doesn't make good drinks.

It was going to be another boring birthday party for my Mother although this time she wanted it to be at the Tavern on the Plaza. We had a great time! The food and the service was very good. They redecorated the entire store in which I use to know it as Bynums where my grandfather always shopped there for his best Sunday suites. The Tavern is just not your ordinary Tavern it has Class!!! The bar was awesome.

The bbq was awful. When we came in there was an employee sitting at a table, by the way he talked i'm sure he was the chef, he had on a dirty shirt full of holes, dirty pants with a hole in them and we could see his underwear, and a dirty green hat. i really hope he didn't cook our food. Our waitress was wonderful we had excellent service.

The man in the green hat WAS the "head cook", I would never consider him a chef as the food is subpar. If you sit at the "wrong" table you can hear him cursing at the servers. The service is excellent definately makes the food and angry cook bearable
