User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsNot very impressed: Was presented as an amazing place ... too much hype ! It was alright, but not anything special. The room was quite small. Ice machine was out of order, so had to go down to desk to get ice. I have had better continental breakfast at much more reasonable hotels. Slow check out, there were several people checking out and only one person working. I was expecting something classy, and it is just an average hotel, which I feel is over priced.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAmazing hotel in Downtown Chico: Literally the only hotel I would consider staying in Downtown Chico. The hotel is renovated to it's original state of the early 1900's. All furniture is from the period. Great staff, beautiful, historial looking rooms with modern ammenities. Staying in dowtown as opposed to outer-Chico is definitely the way to go, but hasn't really been an option in the past since the hotels were poor. Hotel Diamond is in the heart of downtown, with a great reataurant and bar of there own. Rooms have plasma tvs. the Jr. Suite was very spacious, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very attentive. Even though they had only been open for 4 days when we stayed there, the operation ran very smoothly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
