Awful, I'm Cuban born raised in the states and the service as well as the food was bad! I was puzzled by some good and bad reviews on this website and decided to try it for myself. PLEASE spare the pain! Very expensive and awful.
The menu is small but filled with authentic Cuban cuisine. The lunch Cuban sandwich with fries is a good alternative to burgers. The dinner menu features classic Cuban entrees. I like the Caribbean chicken and roast pork. They are both savory and are complete meals. 2 entrees from the dinner menu with 2 alcoholic drinks is about $45 with tip. 2 lunch Cubans with Cokes is about $17 dollars with tip.
Have dined at Carmens Cafe two times so far and enjoy it very much. The most recent time was my girlfriends birthday. They set-up a special room for us so it was very private party. The waitrees was very friendly and talked with us about many things. The food was fantastic Cuban Food, and I should know because my girlfriend is from Cuba and cooks many of the same dishes at home. All of the wait staff speak English and Spanish so you can order in either, it gives me a chance to use my Spanish. Over all It is a great place for Cuban food and the service is excellent.
