User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love, love, LOVE this little place! I will admit that in the past the place was a bit questionable (and a little scary!), but now there is new owners and the whole place has been CLEANED - top to bottom!
It is really nice now and the food is fantastic! I had the chicken and beef and they both literally melt in your mouth. My husband had the ribs and before we left he ordered even more to take home as a "midnight snack"! All I can say is fall off the bone AWESOME!
If you are ever in Robertsdale treat yourself and stop by Hickory House. The staff is very friendly (the new owner is hilarious and a local celebrity - she's a DJ on Cat Country 98.7!!). Seriously, it was truly one of, if not THE, best BBQ place we have ever been in!!-

My sister-in-law showed me this recently remodeled BBQ place for a quick bite after an interesting shopping trip to Wind Mill Market in downtown Fairhope. It is either I was hungry or the BBQ there was great, I enjoyed my ice tea with the BBQ sausage sandwich and a corn on the cob immensely. In fact, the food reminded me of mom's style of cooking... I'm convinced that they have a secret family recipe passed down from generations. It sets the regular eateries apart truly. I will sure go back for more...

Stopped by Hickory House today for lunch, it is neat and very clean inside, the new owner made grilled chicken that was awesome, (great for my diet) the best I have had at a bbq restaurant ever, not dry at all, very moist and tender, the service was great, it will be my #1 lunch place now!â¦â¦â¦
