User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJR's Place Restaurant in Simsboro, LA, is located 1 mile south of I-20 at Exit 77.
They have delicious food and great monthly specials. Specials that are now on on the regular menu are the Boro Burger and Cajun Ribs. Both are delicious!
The Boro Burger is stacked high and starts with a 1 lb. beef patty, bacon, 3 kinds of cheese, grilled mushrooms, as well as the usual fixin's, all on a jalapeno sourdough bun. Better bring a friend to help you eat it! You'll both be glad you did!
The Cajun Ribs are very moist, deliciously flavored, and fall off the bone. You can add additional barbecue sauce, but you certainly don't need to. They are served with JR's delicious baked beans, potato salad, and Texas toast.
During the last half of each month, JR's Place previews the next month's special with free samples. Sure, they want your comments, but they expect you to be perfectly honest.
They love to get their customers' comments and you might get an unexpected bonus for telling them what you think! Be sure to fill out one of their comment cards.
JR's Place also had delicious steaks and catfish, fried or blackened and grilled. Try their barbecued shrimp wrapped in bacon. They'll make your mouth happy, too!
They are open nightly Tuesday through Friday and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Best Food Around: We eat there all the time. The food is great! It is locally owned and most employees are family and friends. WE recommend the grilled shrimp, ribs, steaks and catfish. Also try the pecan cobbler, It is the best!
