User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe were staying at a local hotel & happened to over hear some people talking about the great food - especially the crab encrusted halibut. We made reservations & ordered the aforementioned item - oh, my gosh, this had to be the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. Also, the clam chowder is wonderful. We're from Missouri &, as they say, you must "show me" & they certainly did. Hope to get back up that way.

Full of character! Sit at the bar and share drinks and food with those around you. If you want a table, making reservations is a must. The crab encrusted halibut ($10.00 for the past 2 years) is delicious. If you're hungry, you better order two of these plates. Mix in a pomegranate martini and your meal is complete. Oh, don't forget the homemade cake to top it off. Relax, laugh, enjoy the old wood floors/bar area and the cozy surroundings.

REASON FOR BAD REVIEW: Went here on Sunday August 24, 2008 and was treated very rudely by the weasel guy seating people. He was also very rude to nice old senior citizen ladies, misleading them that they "might get a table" if he got a tip. The other people working here were nice but we never did get a table that night. We sat at the bar thinking a table would open up because weasel boy lead us to believe there would be some in a little while. Sat there, sat there and sat some more until we asked a lady there when a table would be available and she said they were all reserved until 8:30. Weasel boy spoiled this nice restaurant that we used to like to visit. Time to find a new place in Florence where they are nicer than this. The food there isn't that great anyways. The so-called signature crab encrusted halibut topped with thousand island dressing is ok but its not worth someone taking a big sh__ on you to get it.

"Weasel Boy"...really? Grow up! This place has an excellent atmosphere and the people are very personable. My wife and I have been enjoying this restaurant since it opened. I am happy that you will not be back....I don't like people with your attitude going yo a place that I enjoy so much. It's not the fault of "Weasel boy" that you failed to make reservations. If you were indeed a repeat customer you would know this. I don't think the Water Front Depot will miss you not patronizing their business either......(for those of you wondering...dinner at the bar isn't so bad. My wife and I actually prefer it!)
