I went here and the owner was an a#%. He refused to serve a friend of mine because of how she was dressed. Plus this place does not take credit or debit cards. Come on people, come into the 21st century. The quality is not good at all. There are too many choices for restaurants and don't waste the gas going to this place.
I went today to the farmerâs daughter restaurant with my family & I was very disappointed. It took us 1.5 hours to get there, so I called ahead to make sure that there wouldnât be any problems & after we arrived we found out that they didnât take cards only cash. They didnât bather to tell me over the phone this detail. Well luckily, that my friend had her checkbook with her. We sat down about 3:30. The restaurant said they quit serving at 5:00 on Sundays. The waitress was very good & read us the menu & advised us of our choices. We selected the chicken & the steak. They brought only about 8 drum legs & about 6 pieces of steak. Now mind you we were nine people. I notice that they brought all that side Items in small bowls. Well we soon found out why. When we ordered more the waitress said that they had run out of chicken & mash potatoes. The waitress then subbed ham for chicken. I asked for more steak & she only brought one piece on a plate. She said that she was very sorry but they had run out of several other Items. To top off it of they had a pretty lengthy list of desserts. However, they had ran out of them also. The only dessert they had left was cake & ice cream. She then came back with black berry & peach cobbler that wasnât very good. I went to pay for nine people it was $117.00. I complained to the cashier. The only thing that she said was Iâm sorry. She didnât offer to give any type of discount or compensation for the lack of food. Nor she would look at me in the eye. That to me is lack of sincerity on her part. My wife asked for me to let it go because it was a family outing with friends. Needless to say I will not go back to this restaurant nor would I recommend it to anyone. I think I will continue to go to Shirleyâs on 321 in Hampton, TN. This is also a family buffet style restaurant for about the same price but the only difference is they have much better food, service & they donât run out of food.
This is the best country cooking restaurant in the Tri-Cities area hands down. All the food they serve is all natural and the carrot souffle is to die for. You can choose from two meats, many sides and a dessert that is very good. The staff is very friendly and your food is ready very quickly. You need to visit Chuckey, TN and eat here. You will be impressed and you will not go home hungry. I usually eat here at least 2 to 3 times a month and the food is always good.
