User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHugh Meany who owns Mastercraft Fine Wood Flooring is a stand up guy. He and his wife refinished over 2,000 sq ft. of hardwood flooring in my house and did an excellent job. They are both very professional. Infact Hugh is coming back next week to do the five year rescreening and another coat of finish. I won't have him back if he wasn't dependable and good at what he does. He learned his craft in the NE United States where you have to go through a real 4 year apprenticeship and it shows. He's not like one of the local Tennessee handymen that thinks because they have a pick up truck they are a craftsmen. Hugh is a craftsman and it shows in his outstanding work. Call him and look at his portfolio and check his refernces. You'll find he is highly regarded. Hugh is the man for hardwood in the Knoxville area.

Approximately two months ago I responded to an Angies List review from Mr and Mrs Ron and Nancy Mcdaniel. My response was an explanation of why I didnât return a 100. 00 deposit back to them. Essentially I had over three hundred dollars in labor finished on the job. Ron and Nancy cancelled the job , claiming they had a financial hardship, and were going to finish the installation themselves. Then they demanded the 100.00 deposit back to them. I declined period. I them sent them a letter as to why. Sense then, they have gotten back on the internet with yahoo. Com . They have invented âstoriesâ that are not true using four paragraphs. If you look closely, at the slanderous statements its from the ssame person Ron and Nancy Mcdaniel. I am not a liar, not a thief, not a crook â which repeats in their liesâ. If they persist in this crazy slander, I will have no option but to take them to a court of law. I have been in east Tennessee for nine years. I have hundreds of real referrals from real jobs with real people. My cell number is 865-223-0700. I have a small business with an excellent reputation. Please do not believe what they have invented. Hello all, This is from the person who wrote Happy with Hugh above. I am not Hugh in fact the person that said they traced the IP is lying. Quite simply, all of these comments are posted through Yahoo and there for the IP address is hidden. That is why people are so bold to call people liars, cheaters and everything else on these forums/blogs. If they could be identified they would be in court for defamation of character. Do you notice the person writing the negative information never leaves a name. Do you also notice in all of the negative comments the syntax is similar? My bet is it is all from the same person. These forums are a horrible way to do due diligence on a service company. Sometimes the person writing the negative is the competition. Sometimes the person writing the positive is the company you are reviewing. Quite frankly most of these comments are meaningless drivel by people that don't have a lot to do in life. So my point is get off your butt and pick up a phone and call the persons references. Go see some of their work yourself. sit down and talk to, in this case Hugh and Diane and make your own decision. Me, I am writing this because as a business man I know how harmful and malicious these type of reviews can be.
