I've loved this place since the day its doors opened. The coffee is wonderful, and the scones are to die for! I love the Veg Head sandwich for lunch too. I live near Morningside's new location, so walking to the coffee house is up there on my to do list.

Wonderful place that Batesville is lucky to have: Love this place, but hate that they had to change the hours--owner said folks just weren't coming in after 5 p.m. We miss going on Saturday afternoon as well. Not only is the coffee great, but the scones (choc. chip are the best), date bars, etc. and even the sandwiches are delicious. Morningside Coffee obviously supports the arts with the many poetry slams and theater things there. We just want more!! Support this place so they can stay open longer. It is a cool place to be.

Excellent Coffees offered: I onc e owned a coffee house in the 90s and I am up on quality coffee. The owner is also. One of my favorite places. Would like to see some "less sweet" things like perhaps blueberry scones with little sugasr. I would go there more often b/c I then would not have to depend on my will power. I could just order a scone! Owner has done it right.
