| About: | Dr Rootbeer's Hall of Foam is located in a vintage gas station and features a large collection of root beer advertising items and a 1953 Seeberg jukebox. All this can be viewed as you enjoy our Dixie pot roast sandwich, various sizes of hot dogs topped as you like them, and tuna or chicken wraps. And if this all sounds somewhat like a 1950's soda shop, we have the milk shakes, wonderful floats, malts, and 16 flavors of delicious ice cream so you can re-live your memories or make new memories with your family. So stop by and enjoy all things root beer (even Dr Rootbeer's own secret recipe brew). |

Got to stop here!!! It is worth a trip just to meet Dr. Rootbeer himself! You will get a trip down memory lane and when you leave you will have had the best rootbeer and ice cream ever. You will also leave having a new friend in Dr. Rootbeer a wonderful guy with a big heart and personality!!
This is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant and usually I wouldn't waste my time, but Dr. Rootbeer's is awesome. Great atmosphere, the owner is the one that waits on you and really a down to earth type place. A nice drive from Surf City or Topsail Beach.
Cool and Refreshing: Down a few short winding roads, tucked quietly into the town of Snead's Ferry is a wonderful little place to stop for an afternoon break. I stumbled on this little gem by accident and I am very glad I did. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They have several different brews available, in addition to the special recipe root beer. They were more than happy to offer me samples of the White Birch Beer, Sarsaparilla, and Root Beer. I wish I had more time to sample the rest of the offerings. Since I couldn't stay long, I picked up a package of root beer flavored twists and a six-pack of root beer to go. This will definitely be on my list of places to visit the next time I am in town.
