Have visited PL several times during the last 2 yrs. Never had a bad experience or food. The food is THE BEST around - it's as fresh as if you're eating at the beach where the seafood is caught! Have had fried and broiled seafood, salads, and the exceptional warm crab dip (to die for !!!) We do not live in the area but stop there on our travels--even if only to get to go orders of the clam dip to snack on , on the road. We do save more expensive meals (broiled platters)for special occ. but the meal doesn't have to be pricy - depends on how you order...but no matter the food is great and so is the service! Thanks for seafood that doesn't all taste the same !

My family loves Pirates Landing. When I remarried a few years ago we had a reception there (upstairs). My school has had dinners there as well as my husband's business. We had great service and accommodated by the owner and staff. I am a Murphy's law person when it comes to restaurants and service ..it will happen to me, but at this place I have yet to get a bad dinner, the wrong dinner, or pitiful service. We have even called in orders during the early bird specials and they were good too.
For the lady who was crowded in an association meeting ...sounds like you guys need a larger venue. For the folks who didn't get their salads on time...speak up ...waiters get busy. I'm sure they would have brought it to you had you asked. If your food is not done, send it back. Some people eat raw steak.

Overpriced & overrated. My boyfiend said the beer was warm. Only 1 other couple was in the building on a Saturday around 4. Now does that sound like a popular place? Months later we returned for a county wide association meeting they had 2-3 months to plan for in advance. No one was on the first floor and they stuck us upstairs with 40-60 people so tight against the rails you had to stand and suck it in every time someone left for the bathroom. Very inconvenient. They took forever to take orders and had no bread, crackers, nothing. We are always supposed to mingle 6-6:30 and eat by 7 but it was much later, like 8:40 before we got our bill. They also did not have enough tables and chairs, WE had to carry our own chairs upstairs and force people to sit at the ends of tables (as is there was extra elbow room). Ridiculous lack of planning. I wont be back.
