Ron's Chimney Sweep

I've never written a review for anyone because I work in the service industry as a pump technician and get emergency calls 24/7. Even though after hours service is expected from my customers, I wouldn't offer them anything less..... After all repeat business is the best review possible.
However I have a short story I need to share. I woke up Thanksgiving morning to the basement alarm blaring, and a pile of soot on the floor. I turned off the furnace and started researching options. At 11:00am I called Ron's chimney service expecting an answering machine but was greated with a "hello this is Ron" We spoke briefly and he told me he was booked for the next few days(go figure Thanksgiving weekend). He called me back minutes later when he got to his planner and asked if Monday or Tuesday would best; I asked for the earliest possible. He called back seconds later and asked if I had heat and hot water to which I said no. Ron's response was priceless "My family won't be celebrating until later this afternoon, I can be there in a half an hour". He showed up 40 minutes later with his crew, and went right to work. I have owned 3 houses within 15 years and never had a chimney cleaned (shame on me). I can't say enough about the service I received today. Ron cleaned the chimney and suggested a cleaning schedule as he presented the bill. As I have never cleaned a chimney before and I braced for the worst...... A holiday afternoon and 2 men on the clock......
Lets just say I had enough for a generous tip!
THANK YOU RON!!!!!! You have mastered customer service........

I contacted Ron's Chimney Sweep after getting the run around from a number of other chimney sweep businesses. Their prices were not only much higher than Ron's, they also would not guarantee me that the cost would not go even higher when they actually came to my house and did the job. These other businesses try to take full advantage of the fact that most homeowners do not know that much about the proccess so they try to exagerate the work that needs to be done. Ron completed the job in just over an hour after another business had told me it was a 3+ hour job.Ron was staighforward, courteous and professional with both his price and performance. I have already reccomended Ron to my brother and I would reccomend him to anyone else looking to have a chimney sweep done.

I would recommend Ron to anyone. His work and attitude towards his customers are second to none. Ron is someone that takes pride in his work and his prices are more then fair. I believe that Ron is someone who really cares about helping people and is NOT about just making the money.
