What a cool little place! Gives new meaning to, you can't judge a book by its cover. Clam, corn and shrimp chowder was AWESOME. Everything homemade, including the pies. YUMMY
We stayed in Charleston; I can't believe I wasted an hour trip up to this place! Yes, it was good, not bad, but certainly not worth the drive to such an out-of-the-way place as McClellanville. Wasn't even anything of interest in the town.
Shrimp, oysters, and fish were just average. The place did have charm, though. A small, old block building with lots of neat decor.
If I were staying in the same town, I'd go back (not sure how I could...), but it's not worth the drive.
Wonderful restaurant. I don't eat seafood but thier pimento cheese burger is awesome. Others I have eaten with really enjoy their seafood. Sweet potato fries and fried green tomatoes are excellent too.
