Great place to relax!!!: A great neighborhood / video / live entertainment bar with a diverse crowd and an always friendly staff. Nice ambiance and and always a decent crowd with a lot less of the "Dallitude" that you find at most other locations on the strip. From the not-so-innocent, young to the the gracefully not-so-young, Alexandre's caters to them all. The prices are a little steep, but sometimes you gotta pay for sitting at a solid granite bar with hot bartenders and live entertainment. Uhm.....more like you always gotta pay for those features. Never had a bad experience at Alexandre's. Alexandre's is small and can get a little cramped at times, but ususally that's not a bad thing! :)

Alexandre’s is one of Dallas' fastest growing and most diverse live entertainment venues. Since the bar's opening in 2004, the team at Alexandre's has successfully shaped the space into an award winning neighborhood bar (Best Lounge-2008 Dallas Voice Reader’s Choice Awards, Best Lounge, Best Drink Specials, and Best Bartender (Robert Stahl)-2007 Dallas Voice Reader’s Choice Awards, and Best Happy Hour-Lambda Pages Awards 2007, Best Martini-2005 TXT Magazine Best Of). The décor in Alexandre's is sophisticated, but cozy--- from the signature custom leather "kissing booths', pearl white walls, blue-flake granite bar top, to the faux marble lighted bar, the attention to detail promotes a very “New York feel”—but you won't find any pretentiousness here! The friendly staff is legendary for promoting behavior that never lets you forget that the bar's number one priority is for you to have fun!!

Alexandre's is best known for it's fresh and original approach to live entertainment. Entertainers are featured every night of the week, and range from solo acts to full bands (including rock, blues, rhythm and blues, country), and at any time a professional musician may take the stage to perform a set or just provide fill-in to our veritable cast of merry-makers. However, fans of lounge acts and cabaret shows may want to reconsider their selected hangout for the evening. The management's decision to have "a free concert every night" resulted in an overwhelmingly positive response due to the crowd's growth. Don't be surprised if the crowd gets downright rowdy as the evening progresses! But do expect to clap, stomp, laugh and sing along at this one-of-a-kind establishment.

not too shabby: Good alternative to some of the other bars on Cedar Springs..which are cool also, just nice change of pace. Live bands play at various times of the week, mostly on weekends of course. And he music is not too bad either! No food, but with as many restraunts in that area that it the least of your problems.
