About:Once a fire station and then a bank, this historic Marietta site has been converted into MacCracken's, an Irish pub with two bars, a bustling front dining room, cozy lounging rooms and outdoor dining in a courtyard. The old bank vault is still there, though now it holds beer instead of money. Beer selections include the traditional pub choices of Guinness, Bass, Bodington's and others; but it's the food that draws crowds. Corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, and even a full Irish breakfast are included on the menu. Expect live entertainment on the weekends, usually in the form of Celtic folk rock. - Beth Dolgner

After I moved from Atlanta/Little 5 to Marietta this is someplace that felt very comfortable to me. The people are friendly and laid back. The live bands are great and it's MUCH bigger than you might think when you first walk in. Give it a chance if you want someplace you can wear jeans and a tee without anyone giving you a snide look.
