Country Boy's Barbeque is just a small hole in the wall place just off Interstate 65 at Exit 212 between Birmingham and Montgomery at the (Giant Peach Tower Exit). Not open Sunday - Tuesday. Very limited seating but a cozy place with country decor. Picnic tables are available under an awning for those who wish to eat outside. They do not have french fries or soda's, but the sweet tea is very good. Side items on the menu is potato salad, baked beans, slaw or potato chips. Nothing but barbequed meat is served here.No hamburgers or other fried items. The peach cobbler is not the best I've had, the crust is very soggy and the filling is very dry. The barbeque sandwiches are better if you add Tobasco Hot Sauce. A little pricey if you order à la carte but for $5 you can get the combo consisting of a reg barbeque (alone-$3.95), bag of chips (.79) and reg sweet tea ($1.79). A Slab of ribs is $18.95. During our visit on Oct 16th, my husband and I ordered the two $5 barbeque combo's and two cobblers. Our total bill was $14.58.
Serious BBQ and fabulous "sides": I could go on and on about the sauce, the pork and THE RIBS!!! This little spot just might be the best Q in Bama (and that is saying something!) When you go to Country Boys be sure to try the slaw, beans and potato salad. If peach cobbler is on the menu ...well you've hit the jackpot.
This is one of those places worth the drive.

Not the best Q in Bama. The peach cobbler was a disappointment.
