After a long day at the diamond mine, we decided to eat at Buddy's. Me, my husband and 3 kids had the best meal ever. We started with the fried green beans, excellent!!!The chicken fried steak was scrumptious and the pecan cobbler was to die for!! We enjoyed looking at all the razorback decorations (Woo, Pig, Sooie!). Buddy, his wife and staff are great! They are delightful people that make you feel right at home. I would strongly recommend making a stop at Buddys even if you have to make a small detour (several 100 miles or so, LOL)We all left stuffed and can't wait till our next visit!
I made two visits to Buddy's when I was on vacation and each time was excellent in spite of worship of Arkansas Razorback sports. *grin*
Back on the food topic, it was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. I had the "soon to be famous" chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The regular sized portion was more than enough for me. (I cannot imagine the large size.) It was the best.
I also enjoyed breakfast and my wife had the biscuits with chocholate gravy. My wife said it was excellent.
The best part however was the homemade pies. My favorite was the chocholate pecan. Don't skip it!
My only suggestion would be to clean up the back parking lot a little. :)
Eating at Buddy's Ranch House Cafe in Murfreesboro, Arkansas is a great experience. The people are sweet, the employees are helpful and polite, and the food is excellent. The catfish dinner will melt in your mouth. The Bar-B-Que Ribs will rival any restaurants "Baby Back Ribs", the chicken dishes are also excellent. If you want good food and desserts then do not miss going to Buddy's in Murfreesboro, Arkansas on Highway 27, right across the street from The Queen of Diamonds Inn.
