Upstart Crow & Company Business Overview

Add info

Company Information: The name Upstart Crow comes from Shakespeare, or rather, from Shakespeare's admirers and was the first printed reference to the Bard (no doubt an upstart of the most successful kind). Located in Seaport Village , this present-day shop sells books of many genres, as well as gifts for the book lover. There is a coffee area where one can nibble goodies like bagels and croissants and sip cappuccino while contemplating the world's great works of literature.

My favorite bookstore in the world!: When my friend said we HAD to go to this store while in San Diego, I thought "ok, it is a bookstore, how special could it be?" Little did I know it would become my favorite bookstore in the world as well!

Their selection of books is incredible, but there is so much more to it than that! There is plenty to choose from as far beverages (I am not a coffee drinker), and their edible goodies are incredible both to look at and enjoy while either sitting inside or out.

Then there is the miriad of book and art related "things" and "oddities". There is everything from beautiful paintings to cowboy band-aids to finger puppets of all the great authors!

The staff is incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The decor is fabulous.

This is not just a bookstore, it is an experiance; and I can't wait to go back again!
