The food was good but the waiting time for the food was not acceptable. We work nearby and have only an hour for lunch. We had to wait an hour after ordering our food.

Food and Ambiance are Great; Service was Slow: I had high expectations because I've heard so many great things! The price-fixe menu makes the most sense and is a real deal, however I am a stickler for service. I went with a group of 8 and our service was pretty slow. I had asked for substitutions, which was not done, and we had asked for our dessert to be packed up and left with the rest of our party (as two of us left earlier) however, it was never done.

Trader Vic's claims to have invented the Mai Tai -- mine was full of ice and I practically drank it in 10 gulps. The pineapple included in the drink was the best part. The food was good and the ambiance is cute. Definitely a place to go to, but I probably won't go again; there are too many places to go to in SF!
