User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt is a solid four stars. Service is five. I have been here a number of times, most recently with out team at work with the private back room just past the bar. It is great having that room as you do not have to worry about offending other patrons! Drinks were made well (why doesn't any restaurant pile on the extras for Mai Tai's anymore...umbrella, etc??...if you know someplace that does, let me know) and all come quickly. The pear salad was good and the entree Porterhouse was very good. Better than most of the others in the bay area. Lobster was a little tough though. Forbes ranks right up there with Ruth Chris in Walnut Creek, The Grill (usually good), and the ambience beats Alexanders for me. All these places are overpriced (Los Altos Grill seems a little cheaper than average) and I guess we will see if the economy generates any new menus with slightly lower prices-
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love Forbes Mill! Apparently others on here have not been Forbes Mill lately. The food is amazing, the Filet Mignon will melt in your melt. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. I personally ask for "Rich" as he is the greatest waiter and will always serve you with a smile. I love the darkened room atmosphere as its perfect for a romantic dinner where the candle lights on the tables add that special ambience. Be sure to get the dessert sampler, it's so yummy and simply to die for!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat food and great ambiance. I've dined here many times in a small setting and for big gatherings. The staff is very professional and they attract a mature crowd. I would highly recommend Forbes if you have not been here yet!
