Comforting Italian food in a relaxed environment.
Very friendly staff.
The worst experience ever in Sacramento, and weâve been living here for over seven years now.
Our server recommended the calamari for appetizer, so we tried it! Beside the fact that took her only five minutes to bring it to the table in a pretty greasy little platter it was cold, greasy without any taste, chewy. Bad start!!!!
The main course it was veal picatta, 4 very small, very unappealing and very chewy medallions piled on a mound of mashed potatoes. Same presentation for the veal marsala, with very little to no difference between the two even from taste point of view. When we asked for the bill, surprisingly enough the bill came with some delay. Actually, took them longer to bring the bill than to bring the appetizer. We decide to pay for most of the bill using a gift certificate and unexpectedly there are house rules that are posted probably in the kitchen probably, or somewhere out of customersâ reach. There is a 20% gratuity added to your bill if you pay with gift card or gift certificate although you are only a party of 3. Should I add here that no one asked us if we are okay with the restaurant adding the gratuity to the bill? BTW any reference related to gratuity was on the menu and it referred only to parties of 6 and higher?
The best romantic spot in Sacramento hands down. The staff, the food, the drinks and the owner are wonderful and make you feel at home. I'll be back again and again and again....
