GoDenver is stupid. Look what others have said and then decide. This place is really cool. The bartenders are quick and funny. It has above average bar food that's served fast. Edgewater can be a bit ghetto...I would describe Sloan's as an oasis plopped in the middle of it. It's a cut above the surroundings. It's neighborhoody for the most part, but there is a martini crowd on weekends.-

I don't know who these people are writing these reviews, but really? I mean I live down the street from this place and, because of that, have tried giving this place numerous chances.
Don't get me wrong, if just want to get a drink and hang out, this is a great place...just don't get the food!! It's average at best, and way overpriced for what you get. And they definitely do NOT have the best burgers in town. Whoever said that has no idea what they are talking about, or has never had a burger anywhere else. I'd sooner get a burger from Burger King than I would from Sloan's Bar and Grill again. Oh, and fries are extra, which isn't necessarily a big deal, except that you get about 5 fries.
Me and my girlfriend have sworn off eating at Sloans. I suggest you avoid it as well...unless you just want to have some drinks.Comments (1)

I couldn't have put it better myself. I live just blocks away and have given it numerous chances. The final straw for me was how I saw Steve the owner berate and yell at his employees in front of customers. Disgusting. I don't want to promote his business.

You're awfully judgmental making such a bold statement saying that Edgewater is ghetto. It is actually one of the more community oriented urban areas surrounding Denver that is just waiting for it's light to shine. You need to go off to Bible Camp to perfect your judgmental nature.
