They had my Mac for two weeks. They never called, I had to call 3 times to find out what was happening. They hadn't even written down the correct reason I brought the computer for repair. They hadn't been working on it. I had to retrieve it and take it somewhere that would actually work to fix it. A miserable waste of time. I'd never, ever go back.
I took my Toshiba laptop to the Branford location
for repair of a DC jack. As it turned out, the cost of the repair would have been more than I wanted to spend on a 4-1/2 year old machine, (labor-intensive repair due to the design of this particular model... I have no problem with the quote itself,) so I asked for the machine back and offered to pay the diagnostic charge.
Guess what? They can't find the flippin' computer! That's right folks! It has been 4-5 weeks now, and every time I call, I'm told: "We'll find it and call you." No calls from Enterprise of Branford or Clinton. I spoke to "Art" in Clinton, who assured me they would find it and call me... no calls. I said: "Art; is there anything you feel the need to tell me about this that you haven't said thus far?" Response: "We've moved some shelves around, so it is likely just sitting somewhere, but we'll find it and call you." By now you know the rest...
The counter guy in Branford said: "Oh, maybe its in someone's car and they just didn't notice." (Different story from the re-arranged shelf scenario.)Um gee... that's reassuring.
Other than the DC jack, this is a well-functioning machine. I did not authorize its disposal. I expect the machine soon, or compensation. I'll keep you posted as to further developments.
I have had only pleasant, helpful service from these guys. The store is a great business model -- really knowledgeable computer folks who will help you decide what you need, sell it to you for a reasonable price, and provide service as needed -- not the 1-800-HOLD that you get when you buy from a big computer distributor. I am delighted they opened in Branford.
