Just checking out the restaurants @ Yahoo online here in wonderful Lower Slower DE. I was looking for something new and came across a negative review on one of our favorite places. WOW!! What a scathing review from someone named Kelp. It seems like you could have at least eaten there before writing a review so callous and negative. From our own personal experience we know that the owner/chef spends 90% of his time in the kitchen cooking. My wife and myself eat at Blue Water at least once a week. We have tried almost everything on the extensive menu. We have never had a bad meal. Let me repeat that,,NEVER had a bad meal! Because the economy is in the toilet and the Blue Water staff is not as large as it had been earlier last year, maybe Mr. Kelp was irked because he had to wait a few minutes to be seated. I dont think that that is the problem. He states in his review that the entrees at The Blue Water grill were 14 to 16 dollars and up. Eating at McDonalds you will spend almost that much for two. The Blue Water grill is not McDonalds. Mr. Kelp be fair, at least stay for a meal.-

Okay so me and my family wanted to go eat out and my dads friend how told him how great this place was. So finally my dad and I convince my mom and my sister to try this place out. When we walk in their was a man and he didn't even look at us, I'm guessing he was the owner trying to get ready. It might just be me but it's kinda hard to not notice for people coming in when its dead silent and nobody else is in there. But not a big deal right? Well when he finally sees us all we get is a oh and he sits us down and gives us menus. I'm sorry but it's not that hard to say Hi how are you? Or sorry lets me show you your table. But I understand maybe he's not a chatty person. After that it didn't seem like much was on the menu and entree started around fifteen or sixteen dollars. That was to much money for us so we went somewhere else. Over all the short time I was there I was not impressed.

Did you ask to speak with the owner or voice your opinion regarding your concerns? Although a negative introduction is disappointing, I find it hard to judge a restaurant without ever trying the fare or asking to speak with someone in management. I know the Blue Water Grill well and the food is always fresh and homemade and the prices listed are well worth the product received. I do hope you will give them another try.

Mr. Kelp's restaurant knowledge and taste appear to be commensurate with his command of English. We have eaten at Blue Water Grill for many years and brought many friends including some who have eaten at the Blue Water Grill in Union Square NY. All have been impressed with their dining experience. The food is very tasty, many choices and a bargain for the $. Service has also always been great. -

Have recently for the past few months a been a customer of the BWG must say it is more than met the expectations of some fine dining and some interesting specials. Chef and kitchen staff great job continued sucess. I would be remiss not to mention the pleasent waitstaff nice job all around.

I agree whole-heartedly with Big Daddy. We go there at least twice and sometimes three times a week. Josh and his staff are the best.. GREAT meals! and a reasonable price. If you want something less you probably better off staying with Mickey D's or Denny's.
