After reading positive reviews, Talking to people in the area, we decided to stop for breakfast. This place claims to be world famous? For what? Horrible food, slow food service, poor servers?
I normally would not be so harsh - however, the prices were high, the food was cold, and portions were small. Burnt & cold bacon, burnt onion, actually all was cold except pancakes which wer so thick and doughy they were not my to my liking. The restaurant where we were seated was very cold and it felt as breezy as outdoors. I was amazed at the high prices. Due to business, we eat out a lot. This was definately a shock to me. While witing patiently with no refills on drinks, I looked around at food. Many had ordered eggs benedict which they seemingly enjoyed, they were are steaming hot. Possibly I made a bad choice with scambled eggs, bacon and homefries (which were not homefries but red potates halved) But again everyone cooks differently - I will say that. But there were so many negative things about this entire service and meal. However, service with servers that seem unconcerned and innattentive will not win any priase from us. I have eaten at much worse but definately much much better places. If you cannot cook scrambled eggs and bacon and serve it hot, you will lose my business and I will not recommend.
We arrived at 9:47 and seated promptly. We ordered drinks. 5 minutes later, the server asked what we wanted to drink, 10 minutes later our drinks were plunked down and we ordered. 35 minutes later we received our food. 20 minutes later she came back to see if all was ok, we asked for check, yet another wait of ten minutes and she disappeared. We had to ask for her to pay so we could leave. Tried to pay the other girl, but she said we had to wait. Maybe we were there on short staff day, who knows, but we will not return and we were definately not impressed. Next time, I will go to McDonalds, the food is better!
We had an amazing br...: We had an amazing breakfast. Service was fast and people were nice. Making plans to stop by there next time in flordia
I ate here on Wed eve, May 7, with two friends, the first visit for all of us. We read the apparently unanimously positive reviews before coming. I ordered fried oysters with cole slaw. The oysters were too thickly breaded, rendering them soggy. As an afficiando of cole slaw, I was impressed by the thinly shredded, and very fresh, cabbage and carrots, but it was spoiled by a very watery dressing. For $16, I was very disappointed. However, my New England clam chowder was excellent. My friend's wife was "satisfied" with her chicken marsala and he said his steak was "good." Oasis does not offer a senior price for dinners. On Monday, I ate the freshest, crispiest fried oysters I've ever eaten in a restaurant in my 30 years of business travel between Boston and San Diego at Trent's in Jacksonville, at a senior price of eight bucks!

Well in Dec, the service and food was definately up to par. Amazing is true, amazing they are still in business with the poor service and poor ( i mean very poor) food! I must agree with Cliff below.
