The Cornerstone is my favorite place in town to eat at. Lunch and dinner are always great. I have never had a bad experence or meal at the Cornerstone. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My family loves it.
Terrible, Terrible, TERRIBLE!! After reading ALL the reviews on this restaurant, I finally decided to take the family on a drive to try out this "hidden Toccoa treasure". What a disappointment it was!! We came on a Saturday night, and ordered our meals, which took 45 minutes to arrive. The bread was Sam's Club cheese biscuits, and our salads were limp with warm lettuce and not crisp at all. I had to take my son to the restroom and it was filthy. There were even plates, eating utensils and a sink right next to the men's restroom in the back of the restaurant, just waiting for a mischevious person to soil them and return them to the area. The sweet tea was soured and I had to order a Coke, and the dishes were water stained and appeared soiled. UGGH!! When our meals arrived, the vegetables looked like they had been cooked for several days, they stunk of age. I could not eat them. My wife's Chicken Parmesan was watery and appeared to be undercooked. My son's both got a chicken finger plate, with only 2 small chicken fingers and 1 side of mashed potatoes!! I paid $7 each for this?? Our total bill was just under $100, which is OUTRAGEOUS in this day and age. Don't believe the hype, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Go to a regular chain restaurant where at least you know they have cleanliness procedures in place and better prices and food. This place may have been good in 2006, but has fell behind in 2009. Don't give this place your hard earned money.
The Cornerstone Restaurant is a great place for great food in old downtown Toccoa (next to Cornerstone Antiques). It is on the newly opened Doyle St. (just had the "mall" awnings removed). Greg (owner)usually prepares these great meals & his food has an excellence all its own!
The staff is very friendly. They cater too. Give it a try.
