Food is the best Italian I have ever had. Service is amazing. I eat here at least once a week and wish I could more. It is way more than an "overpriced olive garden" as someone else stated, olive garden does not even hold a candle to this place.

A little overrated: I went with a group of friends and we were treated well by the staff, but overall we agreed that it was basically an overpriced Olive Garden.The food, while good, is not exceptional. The surroundings, although darkened, are still not conducive to the intimacy I would like to feel as if I were on a date. It's more like a place a group of kids going to the prom might go to impress their girlfriends because of the inflated prices. It is my opinion that Italian food is best left to the Italians on the Southside of Des Moines.

Bravo Cucina Italiana: From the moment I walked in the door, I was hooked. Beautiful "Old World Italy" set down in Des Moines, IA. Open space dining, cozy but not crowded. The service was excellent. Even during a busy time, I didn't have a chance to wonder where our food was, or look for our waitress. In fact, the main course was served just as I finished the first. The Lobster Bisque was phenomenal, was everything I could do to stop myself from licking the bowl clean.
