My friend and I recently visited this water park with our children (8, 6, and 3). I would not recommend it for the younger children. There were two lifeguards that were incredibly RUDE. One grabbed my friend's 6-year-old by her arm in the "kiddie pool" side, and basically drug her back over to us (from about 6 feet away), and said, "You have to be within arm's reach of children under five!!". I did run into one nicer lifeguard that was helpful on the slide. The bathroom was not clean. The price is definitely too high for what you get.
It was a sad day in Kansas when they closed Barnacle Bill's Fantasea over 10 years ago. It was by no means, a WetNWild but for Wichita, it was great - with 5 different LONG slides to choose from and other rides that actually invoked an adrenaline rush. When Rock River Rapids opened, it was a fair substitute - but by no means a Barnacle Bills. Slides are short and the rides are tamer - ,more little kid oriented. Also, the price for admission is way more than what Barnacle Bills used to be. Beware of the 'metal monitors' - the ones that stop you from embarking on a water slide because you have a little ring affixed to your swimming trunks.
