About:Sibling Rivalry combines the simple elegance of classical cooking with the rich, bold flavors of Modern American cuisine. Chef's David and Bob Kinkead created a 'dueling' menu that showcases their talents with different interpretations of seasonal ingredients. The Kinkead brothers' philosophy of providing fresh, straight-forward cuisine is at the core of their menu. Warm colors of copper, beet, and red provide a warm and inviting atmosphere which reflects the hospitality of the restaurant and staff. Diners can experience a 'Chef's Bar' where patrons can watch the hustle and bustle of the kitchen while dining. A creative cocktail list and extensive wine selection are top of the list of reasons to visit this posh Boston dining hotspot.

This place is thoroughly disappointing. I've sent corporate dinners and entertaining functions here before, but after my personal experience earlier this week, I will not return and will not permit any future events here. Both the server and manager were condescending and unnecessarily rude. Both found several ways to infer that I was stupid and not worth their time. I have never been treated as poorly as I was at Sibling Rivalry - and I've eaten in far nicer places than this.

The food was good (hit or miss, depending on the entree) with small portions, but we were okay with the size. It's their customer service, or lack thereof, that will prevent us from going back here ever again. There are far better restaurants in Boston that actually treat their customers with a little respect. This place was beyond pretentious and just plain obnoxious.

Bottom line: Skip this place. You (and your dinner companions) are worth far more than they have to offer.

We arrived prior to and waited for 40+ minutes after our credit card reserved time.
We were asked to wait in the traffic-heavy bar area with small dining tables lining the walls. There was a faint smell of bleach in the bar area when we first entered, possibly due to a recent cleaning of the bathrooms. While there we had to shuffle around several times due to normal servicing, but once a waitress was short with one of our party for standing next to the dining table she wanted to service. I think she could have just said it in an even tone, and I really didn't see anywhere else for us to go except perhaps stand really close to the people sitting at the bar. I thought the food smelled good, I didn't see anything unusual, saw a couple of desserts that looked somewhat like Finale's and one dish that looked like something a caterer would offer.

The drafts were coming into our waiting place from the entrance area despite two doors arranged in an airlock configuration. A group equal in number to our party arrived ~30 minutes after we were instructed to wait, and about 5 minutes later, they were seated already (!) I did see who I thought to be one of the managers looking concerned about our situation, and the main manager did apologize for our total wait of ~1hour when we decided to leave and asked that our card not be charged. It really is a low capacity restaurant, but the people in charge of logistics were not being real with us, we had no usable answers, so we left for a place close by. This review is for this singular experience.

True Meaning of it's name: Imagine a restaurant owned by two brothers with their own separate menus.
Well here it is!!! The atmosphere of this place was totally unlike anything I've seen before.
The mixture of people, the incredible food, the total ambiance was great. My boyfriend took me here for my 24th birthday and it was fantastic!!
