I want to let anyone thinking of buying a product from Mattress Warehouse to know how they treated this customer (former). I bought the most expensive Mattress the store offers - of course the salesman was very polite, and let us know that he was 100% positive that we would love the product. Two days after delivery I was back to the store stating the Mattress was very uncomfortable and would like to exercise the Money back gaurantee. Then the games began - I had to register on line the complaint, wait for 30 days, then come back. Meanwhile an adjuster would evaluate the mattress - ( another unbelievable story ). All this was done - I went back to the store to get the money back as the paper work stated and we had followed all the crap Mattress Warehouse was feeding us. The salesman then stated that the Simmons rep. was in the area and could better evaluate the situation than the adjuster. I agreed and waited for the adjuster's prearranged meeting. I allowed 2 seperated days - to help the adjuster's schedule - for coming to examine the mattress. Neither of the days did he come. Never gave us the common business practice of calling to say he wasn't coming. All along I had stayed in contact with the salesman. Finally, on Feb. 04, 2010 we had enough and tried to get our money back. I was blocked by every story in the book. I was even told I was not telling the truth about the 2 days to help the Simmons rep. I finally left the store without anything. The District Manager for Mattress Warehouse wouldn't standby their agreement - even with us following every rule they came up with as this event was going along. Simply put - I will continue to exercise my rights and take Mattress Warehouse to court in Easton , Talbot County Maryland. I intend to not give into the stonewalling that has been experienced by this customer. I urge every person that is considering buying a product that is sold by Mattress Warehouse to shop elsewhere. If you are to experience a problem - you will not be treated with the same respect you are given when you go to buy the merchandise. I will be gald to talk to anyone that is further interested in discussing this matter in it's entirety and welcome any questions. I will lodge a complaint with the Better Bus. Beau. for Maryland and anyone else I can find to post my experience. I will not give up trying to save others from going what I have gone thru. PLEASE - DON'T TRUST MATTRESS WAREHOUSE to back their products sold.
These reviews make a potential new customer go to other stores located in Easton and surrounding areas. Thank you people for taking the time to post. Save me from a possible nightmare/
High pressure sales tactics, very much like the old car dealership tricks. Instead of posting the real sales price you get the "I'll see what I can do. Let me go talk to my manager..." bit. But the price never really deviated much and delivery-take away was extra. I'm a fairly educated consumer. Salesperson couldn't answer all my questions or gave wrong answers in some cases. Steered us to higher-end products even when we stated what our budget was. Walked out and didn't look back. There are other bedding supply options in Easton, use them.
