We were staying at the Hampton Inn nearby and decided to check it out. We had never heard of it before. Wow, am I glad we did. My husband had the fish and chips which were OK. I had the pulled pork/ BBQ chicken breast combo with grilled corn and a baked potato. Everything was wonderful. We were too full to have dessert, but some things on the menu caught our eye. We decided to get dessert and save it for later. We couldn't decide on one, so we got two to share. The seven (!!) layer chocolate cake and the American Dream (warm apples, crushed pie crust & vanilla ice cream) were fabulous!
Smokey Bones used to be the place to go to for ribs in Bowie. Since around October of last year, the ribs has gone downhill for me. The meat is not as good as fresh as before. We just had it last night thinking we missed having it...but it just confirmed what we thought we should have done awhile ago...look for another place for ribs. Dissappointing.
Went here day after Thanksgiving 2008. Overpriced and under-served. Ordered the rib combo with pulled pork. Ribs were dry and pulled pork was salty. Service is so slow you could just scream! I'll be eating at Famous Dave's when I'm in the area.
