What can be said of the Old Goat that hasn't already been said? The best pub in the central coast area. Housed in a beautifully converted turn of the century bank. The food is great, the staff and patrons are friendly, the beer selection is incredibly diverse and rotating, and cribbage abounds. I have been going to the goat since it first opened and have absolutely no idea what the first couple of reviews were about. The only thing that comes to mind is a rival business vainly trying to sully the name of the only gem on the Kennebec. If you get a chance it is definitely worth a visit.

Ditto on the crybabies. This place is a true gem. Wish I could spend more time in here. I get sandwiches a couple times a week and a beer whenever I can. Scott & the girls are always wonderful and extremely personable. Great, great place.

I haven't been into the Old Goat since they moved across the street, but all you cry baby's need to get over yourselves. Scott is an amazing pub owner, and I can't say as I've heard him cussing in there, as a matter of fact as a dirty sailor he was always telling ME to watch my mouth. I have to say, I do miss being able to grab a Bobcat and a cool crisp pint after work. Ahh, I need to take a vacation to the Goat.
