The Coffee Break: A secret no more. Great for in and out sandwiches, muffins and the best coffee I have had in a while. Nice and comfey if you want to sit and stay a while. I just stopped in for coffee one sat. morning and had to go back for a sandwich at lunch. It is hard to find REAL PEOPLE who take pride in their work. Stop in for some poetry or music one evening. They support locals.

Excellent Coffee: A great place to make friends: The Coffee Break is one of the best kept secrets in KC and should be kept a secret no more. I assumed I'd walk in, order a cup of coffee, pay and leave like the regular assembly line atmosphere at the corporate coffeehouses and other shops. Oh no! I received the best white chocolate mocha in town made not only by one of the best baristas in the Midwest but made with a dash of friendly conversation and attitudes...just enough to heighten the caffeine boost I was about to receive. The atmosphere and clientele give The Coffee Break the feel of a close-knit community. You've got to check out open mic nights!
