I had contacted this dealer for a price on a new 2009 Honda Accord V6 EX-L with Navigation. I was given a good price, but had a better price from a different Honda dealership. I asked if they could beat the price I have. I sent the price in that I had and it took two days to hear back from Crown only after I contacted Nathan E. Dickens about this. I finally heard from Erin Pomplum, which told me that all emails go to Nathan and then to her, now mind you I have different email address for both of them (strange).
Ok, we have a price and a very good price on that! I work many different hours and I was unable to check my emails for a few days so I decided to go the dealership on August 11, 2009 at which I meet with Erin Pomlun and some other sales man named Chip. This car was being bought using the CARS program and treading in my 2004 Civic. I had all paper work to do the CARS trade plus my Civic papers when I walked into the dealership. I test drove the car and wanted to buy it.
We then went to sit down to work out the deal and this is when the deal went south. First, the car had mudguards on for an extra $189.00 and pin strip that had defects when it was installed. I did not want any of this and asked for it to be removed. I was told they would remove the pin strip but I would still have to pay the $99.00 install charge for it and then pay to have it removed. I then was told that the mudguards were installed and could not be removed because they had to drill holes in the car (of which is not true) for they are installed using the holes that are all ready there!
So fine I decided I still want the car after all this. I then was told since I did not bring in my truck that I was using under the CARS program that Crown could not take the car off the market. Meaning after I do all the paper work sign all paper work and leave them a check for the car that if some one came in and wanted to buy that car they would sell the car to that person right out from under me, even after having all my paper work and money, but not my truck. I was going to go home and bring it in and then drive out with the new Honda. This is the shadiest dealer I have ever gone to.
I had a great experience. Nathan E. Dickens (Sales Manager) is a trust worthy sales man. I'm originally from CA. He openly dealt with my family members out there and took care of things for me. I ended up leasing a car and it has worked out great! If you go to Honda of SOUTHPOINT, see Nathan E. Dicksens!!
I bought a brand new car here with 11 miles on it. My AC light did not work so I took it to have it fix. The first time I took it they fixed the light, however when I got it back the buttons the direct the air flow did not work. I had to take my car back 4 times, very last time THEY LEFT MY WINDOWS OPEN and it rained and got the entrie inside of my car soaken wet. It rained three of the four days that they had it. It would have been so bad, but they didn't tell me about it and I figure it out the next morning when I got something out of the back floor board that was STILL WET. I know it was them because I park in a covered area and it didn't rain the night that I had it. I am VERY allergic to mold, since it was like 100 degrees this summer it could have grown very easily and I could have gotten VERY sick. They didn't even say sorry just said it happens. They cleaned it but not without me fussing about it.
I would NOT.... recommend anyone getting their car serviced at this dealership, because they could mess up and then TRY TO HIDE IT.. not professional!!!
