User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsExcellent food and service after a short trip from Wallace, NC. Food is a little pricey but waitress (Judy) was exceptional with your candor, wit, and pride in the Southern Exposure. They were "steady busy" but we were allowed to take our time to enjoy our great dinner.

The food, the wait staff, the atmosphere all outstanding! My expectations were definitely exceeded. However- I was surprised to see that smoking was allowed at the bar, which was central to the dining room and directly next to our table. Thank goodness no one lit up while we were there. It would have ruined a fabulous meal. Without the threat of secondhand smoke expsoure, I'd give Southern Exposure an excellent rating instead of a good for sure!
