Great favorite with the locals, Risotto House has more to offer then their fantastic risotto dishes. Cozy and homey, you will be made to feel as welcome by the staff as if you were in a good friend's home. Make sure to try the portabella caps stuffed with ricotta as an appetizer and don't forget to sop up the sauce with some fresh warm bread. The seafood risotto is fantastic, with just the right balance of pungency from the garlic and sweetness from the seafood. It's creamy goodness is a sure fire cure for the dreariest winter blah's. The ricotta gnocchi is fantastic as either a side dish or main - it's incredibly light but oh! so satisfying.
The desserts are fairly standard, nothing to really write home about. Thankfully, you're likely to be so stuffed from the main meal there will be likely only room for an espresso to close off the meal.
One side note, this has never been a destination for me during the summer months. The nature of the food is just way too heavy during those months you're looking for cleaner and sharper flavours (and are wearing far too little clothing to hide the aftermath of the gnocchi). It would be nice to see a summer version of the menu, one that relies more on the fresh summer produce and lean proteins then pastas and risottos.
Great Italian! Love it- BYOB, great service, eat in or take out
Excellent food... Shame they do not accept reservations for two people, only for four or more. We had to wait standing for about an hour on a saturday night. I would go again, but never on a saturday.
