I have been going to Ethereal Day Spa since it opened and I would never go anywhere else! The staff is fantastic and I always feel pampered. The facials there are the best I've ever had and I've gone to a lot of the high-end spas. My skin has never looked so good! I get all my services done at Ethereal and I couldn't be more happy!
Not that great ;dont let ambience fool you.
Poor color treatment and haircut.
Didnt like it at all
A little costly too
Think twice before going here...
The staff is lovely and very nice, however...
My facial was NOT 50 minutes like it was supposed to be. More like 35 minutes. I have been getting facials once a month for years - I know how long 50 minutes feels. And my face didn't even feel clean.
My massage therapist was loud upon coming in, and during the massage she kept resting the oil bottle on my body (on the massage table). She also did not ask me a single question about sensitive areas or firmness of pressure. Yes, this was filled out on the questionnaire, but my other massage therapists have always gone over it with me. I indicated firm pressure on the questionnaire, it was medium. Even after I verbally asked for firm, it was still medium. Plus there was no real technique, just flat hands all over my back. No meridians followed, no pressure points attended to. Honestly, the worst massage I've ever had.
Manicure was good, the spa pedicure experience great, but the pedicure polishing is a mess. I just spent 20 minutes trying to remove all of the red nail polish that is on my skin around my toes. Plus, some of the bottles of nail polish CLEARLY had acetone in them. The polish was as thin as water and you could see gunk suspended at the top of the bottle. Even the manicurists were shocked. And while I was getting my pedicure another manicurist started whining and complaining about some other girl who works there and how she was screwing up the schedule for everyone, something about calling out but faking a reason. My mother and I were appalled that this girl didn't keep her comments to herself or didn't wait to discuss this privately with her colleagues. Even the girls doing our toes were uncomfortable with this other girl complaining. They were almost embarrassed for her.
Spoke with the owner, Paola, who did my facial, and she sort of apologized for everything, except the facial. She insisted that it was 50 minutes. I timed it - it was not. Plus the manicurist who took me after agreed that I was very early upon leaving the spa room. I would have expected some sort of courtesy on my charge given I just dropped $490 there between my mother's spa package and me - for her 60th birthday, no less - but nothing. I was left feeling extremely disappointed and ripped off. I do not recommend this place for any of the services I received. I'm sure there are much better places out there.
